Description

Rancho de Reis, Guláns, Ponteareas.

No sur de Galicia consérvanse tres danzas de Reis asociadas ós denominados Ranchos de Reis. Estes Ranchos de Reis interpretan catro danzas diferentes:
Danza de castañolas e danza de palitroques: ambos acompáñanse de pezas de madera de buxo (castañolas ou paus) que os danzantes fan soar mentres executan a danza.
Danza de fitas: os bailadores danzan xirando arredor dun pau mentres suxeitan unha fita amarrada á punta dun poste, estas fitas van sendo trenzadas sobre o poste mentres os bailadores desenvolven a danza.
Danza de arquiños: os danzantes bailan xunguidos ás súas parellas por un pao en forma de arco decorado con fitas de cores debuxando figuras e entrelazando os arquiños de diferentes xeitos.
Ademais destas catro danzas, os bailadores adoitaban a pechar a representación bailando a xota, o valse, a muiñeira e a ribeirana.
O Rancho de Reis de Guláns baila o 6 de Xaneiro.
